The Amazon Rainforest

The Amazon Rainforest, which is mostly contained in Brazil, is the largest and most biodiverse rainforest in the world, with an estimated 390 billion individual trees divided into 16,000 species. It is nicknamed 'the lungs of the planet' because it produces more than 20% of the worlds oxygen. There are approximately 10 million species of animals, plants and insects known to man and more than half of them call the rainforest home.
